The Darkest Place On Earth

I'm going to continue my look at Disney's dark history for this Controversial Cartoon Day. Today I'll look at the evil that populates the movies The Lion King, Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. Yep, those masterpieces contain some of the worse messages ever. lets take a look at the epic tale of a lion and his pride, first. There's only one subliminal message that I found in the film. In one scene, Simba lays down onto a pile of flowers. Pollen flies off the flowers, and for a second, they spell the other word for mating. Did I mention this was a kid's movie? Now lets take a look at a tale form the Arabian Nights, Aladdin. In this film, Aladdin is trying to escape the princesses pet tiger. When the camera moves away for a moment, you can vaguely hear Aladdin say, "Take off your clothes." And then, they say it again, in another scene. In this moment, Jafar and a man are approaching the lamp's hiding spot. When the sand lion comes up, you can hear a person again say, "Take off your clothes." Again, did I say this was a kid's movie. Now, lets watch the masterpiece of sexual proportions, that is Little Mermaid. On the cover, there is a view of Ariel's castle. One of the pillars seems to resemble a vital part of a man's anatomy. Oh yeah, it looks like that. Then, it gets worse. When Ursala is trying to get married, the priest seems to experience an odd little feeling that I dare not mention. Little weird, isn't it? Well, I think I've said enough for this Controversial Cartoon Day. Until tomorrow's Looney Tune Show review, I'm out.
